You must be organized, cordial, polite, and love pets (the household has a very friendly Golden Retriever dog and cats.
) The ideal candidate is expected to ensure the home is kept organized, clean, and tidy, as well as assist with errands.
Principals love to cook but don't always have the time for it.
A candidate who can meal prep and help with cooking occasionally is a plus.
Duties:
Full charge housekeeping of the family's home.
Maintain tidiness and cleanliness of two bathrooms, one bedroom, and all living areas.
Clean kitchen appliances (keeping the refrigerator clean and up-to-date.
) Clean windows and doors and wipe down walls.
Wash, iron, fold, and sort laundry; manage dry cleaning.
Grocery shopping and ensuring that groceries are stocked at all times.
Meal preparations and assisting with cooking meals on occasion.
Restock, organize and keep an inventory of household supplies.
Dispose of trash according to the town's schedule.
Assist with packing and unpacking for travel.
Oversee maintenance and home repair projects.
Receive packages, mail, and deliveries, and handle retail returns.
Run small routine errands, as needed.
Take pets to the vet or groomer.
Maintain and restock pet supplies (food, water, treats, automated litter box.
) Coordinate and manage special projects and events as needed.
Perform various administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, and maintaining files and records.
Qualifications and key competencies:
Possess a valid Driver's License, have a clean driving record, and own a reliable vehicle.
Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.
Attention to detail and great time management skills.
Extremely discreet.
Must love pets.
Be social, friendly, and polite.
Experience:
Previous experience in a similar role as a housekeeper, personal assistant, or executive assistant is preferred.
You must have the ability to spot what needs cleaned or maintained in the home.
