CNC Setup Operator 2nd & 3rd shift

Performs basic set-ups and operates multi-axis numerical control milling machines and/or lathes to produce quality parts adhering to the Quality Management System, Good Manufacturing Practices, Lean Manufacturing Principles, and all other applicable regulations and company standards by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Review production schedules and work orders.
Interpret job specifications and blueprints, set-up and operate CNC machines, and troubleshoot any issues, collaborating with engineering as needed.
According to the Inspection Plan and complying with the established standards and methods for inspection, testing, evaluation and calibration, inspect items produced to determine if items meet specifications.
Change tools as per the frequencies indicated on the Tool Sheet as well as regularly inspect tools and measuring equipment for defects and wear and replace as needed.
Perform preventive maintenance activities on the equipment in assigned area, and communicate any need for repairs to management.
Accurately complete required documentation on a timely basis.
Train operators to run the job and monitor their output.
Perform 5S and housekeeping activities within assigned area.
Recommend process improvements to engineering and/or management, and assist with the implementation as needed.
Understand and comply with company policies, safety guidelines, quality system procedures, and housekeeping standards.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of 3-5 years CNC machinist experience with up to 2 years experience in performing set-ups required. Mechanical inspection background.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
